Spring is here!  There are some great events and activities to check out in and around Regina this April.

 

Event Highlight - 53rd Annual Majestics Car Show

When: April 6 and 7
Where: International Trade Centre - Evraz Place
Tickets: $15 for Adults and Kids 12 and Under are Free
What: This event showcases products like classic cars, transport vehicles, car parts and accessories and much more.

Concerts and Performances in Regina

(April 2) Clay Walker.  Clay Walker is one of the most successful country acts of the past decade thanks to his dedicated work ethic.  Doors open at 7:15pm.  (Casino Regina)

(April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13) Dinner Theatre - Tom, Dick, and Harry.  The St. James presents this comedy by Ray and Michael Cooney.  Tickets range from $25 to $40.  (St. James United Church)

(April 13)  Practically Hip.  This Tragically Hip tribute band has been performing all over North America for the last 20 years.  Doors open at 7:15pm.  (Casino Regina).

(April 13)  Regina Symphony Orchestra presents Masterworks: Schubert Unfinished Symphony.  This is a fresh, half-finished masterwork, lost in time for decades.  Show starts at 8pm.  (Conexus Arts Centre).

(April 17)  RAIN - A Tribute to the Beatles.  In celebration of the anniversary of Abbey Road, RAIN will bring the greatest hits of this epic recording to life, in addition to all your Beatles favourites.  Show starts at 7:30pm.  (Casino Regina).

(April 18)  Great Russian Ballet & Regina Symphony Orchestra Present Giselle.  Giselle is one of the most breathtaking ballets of all time.  The death-defying love story, “Giselle”, is a master piece in two acts with music by Adolphe Adam, and choreography by Marius Petipa, from Jean Corailli and Jules Perrot.  Show starts at 7:30pm.  (Conexus Arts Centre).

(April 21)  The Lonely: Celebrating the Music of Roy Orbison.  The Big O was unmistakable with his trademark sunglasses, distinctive powerful voice, complex compositions and dark emotional ballads.  Mike Demers delivers a spot-on performance of Orbison’s signature sound.  Show starts at 7:30pm.  (Conexus Arts Centre).

(April 25)  The Tea Party - Black River Tour.  Black River, the first single from The Tea Party in four years, put the band back on the map being the most added track to Active and Mainstream Rock Radio when it was released in November 2018.  The show will feature special guests, The Proud Sons.  Doors open at 7:15pm.  (Casino Regina)

Food + Drink Events in Regina

(April 13)  RCMP Charity Ball.  As the beneficiary of the annual RCMP Charity Ball, Globe Theatre will be hosting this event again with funds raised being allocated to the Globe Theatre School Educational Development Fund.  Event starts at 5:30pm.  (RCMP Academy Drill Hall).

 

Sports, Recreation, and Leisure Events in Regina

(April 19)  Thirteenth Annual CSC Gopher Attack.  This boutique marathon is the earliest of the three major Saskatchewan Marathons.  It is comprised of two distances, marathon and half marathon.  The event is also a fundraiser for the MS Society of Canada.  Entry fees are $85 for the Marathon and $75 for the Half Marathon.  Race Starts at 7am.  (Wascana Centre).

Adult Events in Regina

(April 6-7)  Natural Health Expo.  Angel Spiritual Connections Inc. will be hosting the 3rd Annual Holistic Health and Wellness Expo.  Admission is $5 and will be donated to The Pack Project Inc.  (Regina Italian Club)

(April 6)  The Vagina Monologues.  The show is made up of varying monologues read by a number of women that deal with aspects of the feminine experience.  Show starts at 7pm.  (Conexus Arts Centre)

(April 12)  Theresa Caputo Live!  The Experience.  The TLC Long Island Medium will deliver healing messages to audience members and give people comfort knowing that their loved ones who passed away are still with them.  Tickets start at $39.75.  Show Starts at 7:30pm.  (Brandt Centre)

Family Events in Regina

(April 5-7) Brushworks Art Guild 30th Anniversary Show.  Celebrate the 30th Anniversary in Regina with original, one-of-a-kind art pieces.  Admission is free.  (Neil Balkwill Centre).

(April 6, 13, 20, 27) Regina Farmer’s Market.  Winter might be here but the Farmer’s Market is continuing indoors.  Great local products including: baking, produce, crafts, and other great idea.  Doors open at 9am. (Core Ritchie Neighbourhood Centre).

(April 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28)  Centennial Market.  Indoor market located in the heart of the Warehouse District with over a hundred vendors.  (1230 Broad Street).

(April 14)  Easter Celebration at the RCMP Heritage Centre.  Hop down for crafts, games, Easter themed movies, and bring your basket for the egg hunt.  Subject to regular admission.  (RCMP Heritage Centre).

(April 20-21)  2019 FNUniv Spring Powwow.  The First Nations University Annual Spring Celebration Powwow is a traditional ceremony and unique opportunity to share our First Nations culture with the citizens of Regina, Canada, and the rest of the world.  (Brandt Centre).

(April 26-28)  Our Best To You Art & Craft Sale.  Evraz Place welcomes over 135 of Canada’s most talented artists, artisans, and designers to share their incredible works.  Market runs from 10am to 5pm.  (International Trade Centre).
