With the long weekend approaching you might be looking for some fun activities that the whole family will enjoy!  Whether you have an adventurous side or a thirst for knowledge there is lots to see, do, and experience in and around Regina.

We have picked our top three “Things To Do With The Family This Long Weekend”.  They will have you dancing, climbing, and exploring all weekend long.

Outer Edge Adventure Park

The Outer Edge Adventure Park opens on May 18th for season.  Outer Edge Adventure Park is Saskatchewan’s newest eco-friendly outdoor attraction.  It is located along the Qu’Appelle Valley just outside of Lumsden. 

Here you can enjoy a 5 or 7 line zip line adventure, all while learning about the local vegetation at the nature stations.  You can also test your climbing skills on the rock wall.  This is something the whole family can get into.

Saskatchewan Highland Gathering and Celtic Festival

Head down to Victoria Park on May 18th and 19th and be prepared for an upbeat and lively festival full of sport, food, dance, and culture.

Watch the athletes as they compete in the Scottish Heavy Athletics competition.  Highland dancers of all ages will be competing with dancers representing various provinces throughout Canada.

There is also a Pipe Band and Drumming competition.

Check out the children’s activities, local vendors, and food trucks on site.

Saskatchewan Science Centre

Anyone who says the Science Centre is just for kids has not been the Saskatchewan Science Centre!  It is a great place to let your inner kid out to play and you will probably even learn something new.

Fun Fact:  The Science Centre holds Adult Only Science nights for those 19 years and older!

Don’t forget to check out one of the great films playing in the IMAX.  Our picks would be Panadas 3D or Super Power Dogs.
