Community Events in Regina this June 2019

The temperatures are heating up and the end of another school year is in sight.  There is also no shortage of things happening in and around Regina this June.

Event Highlight - Supper in the Orchard

When: Every Friday and Saturday until October 13th.

Where: Over the Hills Orchard and Winery in Lumsden

Price: The Supper costs $70/person. Individual glasses of wine (5 oz glass) is $6, and non-alcoholic beverages (Cherry Spritzer/Coffee) are available for $3.50.  The wine pairing option (Each course is paired with 2oz of one of our wines) is $25.

The Outer Edge Adventure Park opens on May 18th for season.  Outer Edge Adventure Park is Saskatchewan’s newest eco-friendly outdoor attraction.  It is located along the Qu’Appelle Valley just outside of Lumsden.

Community Events in Regina this May 2019

There is a lot happening in and around Regina this May.  The weather is getting nicer and it is the perfect time to get out with the family and experience our great city. 

Event Highlight - Mosaic a Festival of Cultures

When: Thursday May 30 to Saturday June 1

Price: Passports are $15 for Adults and $10 for Kids and Seniors.

Leanne and Joyce’s Easter Treats 

When Joyce and Leanne are not busy selling houses they love nothing more than to spend time with their family. This Easter, they would like to share with you two of their favourite recipes.  One is great for Easter Brunch and the other is a great side dish for Easter Dinner.  

Holiday Morning Wife Saver 

You will love this so much you will make it for every holiday brunch!

Ingredients:
16 Slices of white bread - crusts removed
16 Slices of Canadian back bacon or ham
16 Slices of sharp cheddar cheese
6 Eggs
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/2-1tsp. Dry mustard
1/4 cup Minced onions
1/4 cup Green pepper - finely chopped
1-2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 cups Milk
Dash of Tabasco
1/2 cup Butter
Special K or Corn Flakes

The warmer temperatures have finally arrived and the snow is starting to melt.  We are all prepared for the warmer weather, but is your house?

Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind as the snow begins to melt and to ensure that your house stays dry.

The Roof

With the extended period of cold temperatures the snow has stayed packed on our roofs.  What you want to do is rake as much snow off the roof as possible.  Only go on your roof if it safe to do so.  We recommend that you hire a snow removal company to remove the snow for you.

Soffit and Eaves

Check the soffits to make sure there is no debris that could stop the flow of water and also check for signs of ice damming.
Make sure that your downspouts are down and extended well away
